Who
pays for KEEN?
KEEN is a registered charity, and is financed entirely by fundraising, donations and grants. These funds are used to buy equipment and hire sporting facilities, to provide training for volunteers, and to employ staff who recruit volunteers, liaise with parents and arrange and run the sessions. All KEEN activities are provided free for parents, children and volunteers, enabling everyone who wishes to take part to be included.
More details of our finances and how KEEN London provides value for money can be found in our budget. To request a copy please contact us. To add to the value of donations we receive, the volunteers who spend their time and energy running KEEN sessions and supporting the children at the activities invest approximately 60–70 hours a week in KEEN—that is the equivalent of over £40,000 of paid staff! This means you can be sure our administration costs are kept to a minimum. So you can be sure that any donation will be spent on our projects and make an enormous difference to the children who come to KEEN, many of whom are prevented from accessing similar activities elsewhere due to lack of support.
We currently have a large waiting list of children and we need to expand our services. Our vision is to take KEEN London all over the capital. Please help us to do this in the following ways:
