Three Lakes Challenge

Three Lakes Challenge — cycle or sink

KEEN London has been selected as one of the nominated causes for one of the year’s most amazing and adventurous fundraising challenges: Cycle or Sink.

A group of 11 friends is aiming to become the first group to not only cycle between the three largest lakes in Great Britain but also cross them using pedal power. And all in under 48 hours over the weekend on 22 – 24 June.

They will traverse the calm waters (fingers crossed) of Loch Lomond (Scotland), Lake Windermere (England) and Lake Bala (Wales) on a bike powered pedalo while riding across Britain from lake to lake. In total they will be ‘cycling’ 15km on water and 550km on tarmac. Each person will endure 188km / 16hrs in the saddle, with cycling over water much harder than on land!

The team includes Tom Pellereau, 2011 winner of BBC One’s The Apprentice and TV presenter, Rob Bell.
